‘Ohana Meeting Minutes for Sunday 10/26/08

In Attendance: Sanford Kameekua, Garick “Auggie” Nakagawa, Brandon Daniel, Troy Andrade, Bobby Souza, Ethel “Sweet” Souza, Lynnette Dudoit, Toni Negrillo, Rochelle Willis, Joella Ferrer, Jasmine Willis, Johnna Willis-Thomas.

*Creating Committees and Volunteers: Fundraising, Entertainment, Genealogy, Photography/Video, Activities for Kids, Locations, Memorabilia.

*Proposed ‘Ohana Organization Name: “Peeluakoloiaao ‘Ohana”
*Proposed ‘Ohana Colors: Black & Yellow
*Proposed ‘Ohana Design: Night Rainbow w/Kukui
*Proposed ‘Ohana Reunion Date: February 2010
*Proposed ‘Ohana Reunion Site: Moloka’i

*Creating an Ohana Hui was suggested and it was proposed that 3 ‘Ohana members from 3 different ‘Ohana lines to be responsible for maintaining and controlling the hui and being the only authorized signatures for any endorsements, but must be available and located on Oahu. - This topic is a proposed suggestion, subject to change.

*Creating an ‘Ohana Committee. Nominations open. (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, etc)

*Creating a “Mission Statement” was also suggested using the story of the Night Rainbow as a feature headliner.

*A suggestion was made to plan a trip to Moloka’i to view the conditions of various sites of importance throughout the island. Accommodations were also proposed.

*Each attendee above was asked to voice their importance of all this planning. Mainly to reconnect with ‘Ohana, introduce all generation levels and re-teach each other the importance of ‘Ohana, the meaning of ‘Ohana, and to keep it going so we don’t stray away from each other.

**Next ‘Ohana meeting, Sunday, January 25th, 2009, cousin Rochelle and Joella were gracious to offer their hale again. Location to be announced later!

Kahua Ho’olulu!

The meeting will be at cousin Rochelle Willis’s house at 48 Hauola Avenue at Wahiawa. Please bring something with you, drinks or potluck. The time October 26, 2008 on Sunday between 1100am and 100pm.
